Ajani Sheppard is a quarterback from Bronx, NY who attended Iona Prep, where he completed 150 of 242 passes for 2,393 yards and 21 touchdowns as a senior in 2022, adding 142 rushing attempts for 1,291 yards and 11 scores. He signed with Rutgers as a freshman in 2023, appearing in one game with two completions for 23 yards and one 10-yard carry against Wagner. In 2024 as a redshirt freshman, Sheppard played in four games and rushed three times for 24 yards, including a 20-yard run versus Wisconsin. After spending 2025 at Washington State without appearing in a game, he transferred to Temple in January 2026, where he enters the season as a redshirt junior.
