Jacob Fields is a safety from Melissa, Texas who transferred to TCU from Louisiana Tech. The three-star recruit played running back as a freshman in 2023, recording 26 carries for 105 yards and two touchdowns before moving to defensive back. As a sophomore in 2024, Fields appeared in all 13 games with eight starts, compiling 54 tackles and leading the Bulldogs' secondary with two interceptions. In 2025 as a junior, Fields started all 12 regular season contests and led Louisiana Tech's defense with 92 tackles, three interceptions, and two pick sixes, including an 85-yard return.
