Chris Garland is a redshirt freshman cornerback for Stanford who joined the program as a true freshman in 2025. The Buford, Georgia native appeared in three games during his inaugural season, making his collegiate debut in the final three home games beginning against Pittsburgh on November 1, where he recorded his first tackle. Against No. 9 Notre Dame on November 29, Garland added three tackles and his first pass breakup. At Buford High School, he was a four-year letterwinner and part of the 2021 6A Football State Championship team, earning First-Team All-Region honors in 2024. Garland recorded 4 total tackles and 1 pass defense through 2025.
