Champ Lewis is a 6'0", 183-pound left cornerback for Southern Miss. Originally from New Orleans, Lewis played prep football at Warren Easton High School, where he was a three-star prospect ranked No. 44 in Louisiana and No. 76 at his position nationally by recruiting services. He began his college career at TCU, appearing in two games as a redshirt freshman in 2023 and recording one solo tackle versus Nicholls. Lewis then transferred to Tulsa, where he sat out the 2024 season before appearing in all 12 games in 2025. That year he posted 16 tackles (nine solo) and one pass breakup, including four tackles against Temple and three stops against UAB.
