Cannon McClain is a 6'2", 184-pound defensive back for Southern Miss from Hattiesburg, MS. He attended Presbyterian Christian School, where he played football, baseball, and basketball under coach Bobby Carr. McClain redshirted at Delta State in 2023 before appearing on special teams for the Statesmen in 2024. In 2025, his first year at Southern Miss, he played in two games against Jackson State (9/6) and Troy (11/29), recording a solo tackle against Troy.
