Malcolm Ziglar is a safety who transferred to South Florida in January 2026 from North Carolina. The 6'3", 205-pound defender appeared in 23 games across two seasons with the Tar Heels. As a sophomore in 2025, he recorded five tackles and one interception in 10 games, including a pick against Charlotte and two tackles at Cal. During his freshman year in 2024, Ziglar posted seven tackles across 12 games and made his first career tackle in the season-opener at Minnesota. A four-star prospect from Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, he was ranked the nation's 53rd-best player and No. 4 safety in his class, earning two all-state honors.
