Jair Murphy is a cornerback for South Florida standing 6'0" and weighing 203 pounds. A native of Ocoee, Florida, Murphy attended Dr. Phillips High School before playing at IMG Academy, where he recorded 56 tackles and four interceptions as a senior. He began his college career as a walk-on at Tulsa in 2023, appearing in three conference games. Murphy transferred to South Florida and saw action in two games during the 2024 season. In 2025, he appeared in all 13 games, primarily on special teams, posting one tackle versus FAU on 10/18 and blocking a punt for a safety against Charlotte on 10/3. He earned USF Athletic Honor Roll recognition in both spring and fall of 2025 and is a returning player for the Bulls.
