Alexander Kilgore is a linebacker for SMU from Katy, Texas, where he was a three-star prospect and helped Katy Paetow win a State Championship. He appeared in all 14 games as a freshman in 2023, recording 36 total tackles and 3.5 sacks. In 2024, he played in all 14 games again with 56 tackles and one sack at Virginia. Last season, Kilgore started 11 games and was named team captain, accumulating 60 tackles (31 solo), 3.5 tackles for loss, and two interceptions. He scored a defensive touchdown against East Texas A&M and registered an interception in the Trust & Will Holiday Bowl against No. 17 Arizona. Kilgore is a senior returning for 2026.
