Viliami Lotoaniu is a true freshman linebacker for San José State, standing 6'2" and weighing 220 pounds. The Antioch, California native attended Liberty High School in Brentwood, where he recorded 43 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and seven sacks as a senior, earning First-Team All-League honors in the Bay Valley Athletic League. In the GSF All-Star Senior Game, he posted two sacks alongside additional defensive stops. Lotoaniu also competed in rugby during high school and maintained Honor Roll status twice.
