Background & career
Ryan Boultwood is a tight end from Upland, California who attended Damien High School before playing junior college football. At Mt. San Antonio College in 2023, he recorded 14 receptions for 111 yards and a touchdown across nine games, earning First Team All-American honors. After redshirting at Boston College in 2024, Boultwood transferred to San José State for the 2025 season. He appeared in all 12 games as a redshirt sophomore, primarily on special teams, and made his FBS debut against CMU on August 29. He was selected to the Mountain West All-Academic team in 2025.
