Nate Lewis is a 6'5" defensive lineman for San José State, wearing number 99. A three-star recruit from the class of 2021, Lewis attended Jesuit High in Carmichael, California, where he lettered in football and track. He caught 25 passes for 449 yards and six touchdowns as a wide receiver in 2019 and earned second-team All-Delta League honors. After redshirting in 2022, Lewis moved from tight end to defensive end prior to the 2024 season. He played in 13 games that year, recording six tackles and one fumble recovery, including a fumble recovery against Kennesaw State on 9/14. In 2025, Lewis appeared in all 12 games primarily on special teams, registering three total tackles. He has been named to the Mountain West Academic All-Conference team and earned Academic All-Mountain West honors in 2023 and 2024.
