Isaiah Buxton is a cornerback from San Diego, California, who attended Mater Dei Catholic High School in Chula Vista. A three-star recruit in the 2024 class, Buxton recorded 88 tackles and 10 interceptions during his prep career while helping the Crusaders to back-to-back Division 2-AA state championships in 2021 and 2022. He redshirted during his 2024 season at San Diego State, then appeared in nine games in 2025, including one start, with 11 solo tackles and two pass breakups. Buxton recorded a career-high nine tackles with two pass breakups versus North Texas in the New Mexico Bowl on December 27. He transferred to San José State for the 2026 season.
