Tainoa Lave is a true freshman safety from Kapolei, Hawaii, who attended James Campbell High School in Ewa Beach. A four-year starter and letterman, Lave earned first-team All-OIA Open and All-Hawaii honors as a sophomore in 2023 and junior in 2024. He recorded three interceptions as a freshman, including two returned for touchdowns, and added two more picks as a sophomore. In his senior season, Lave scored two rushing touchdowns in the state semifinal as James Campbell reached the HHSAA Open Division State Championship game. He holds a three-star rating and is ranked No. 12 among Hawaii prospects. Lave wears No. 35 for the Aztecs.
