Malachi Finau, a 6'1", 295-pound defensive lineman from Los Angeles, prepped at St. John Bosco High School where he earned a three-star rating. He made his college debut at Hawai'i against Fresno State in 2022 before redshirting the remainder of that season. Over three years with the Rainbow Warriors (2022-2024), Finau appeared in 11 games in 2024, totaling 19 tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss while ranking third on the team with 3.0 sacks. Now at San Diego State as a transfer, he started nine of 13 games in 2025, recording 18 total tackles, three quarterback hurries, and 0.5 tackles for loss.
