Jelani Whitmore is a 6'0", 185-pound right cornerback for San Diego State entering his redshirt senior season in 2026. A three-star recruit from Carter High School in Rialto, California, Whitmore redshirted in 2020 and did not appear in games during his freshman and redshirt freshman seasons. He played all 12 games on special teams in 2023 before seeing significant secondary action for the first time in 2024, appearing in all 12 contests. That year he recorded 10 tackles (eight solo), three pass breakups, and one interception. Whitmore did not play in 2025 due to injury.
