MJ Dowdy is a true freshman running back for Sam Houston. The 5'11", 210-pound native of Winder, Georgia, attended Barrow High School under head coach Robert Paxia, where he lettered and broke 16 school records. Dowdy earned all-region honors three times and was named Region Player of the Year as both a junior and senior. He also received all-state recognition as a senior, leading his prep team to the state playoffs. Dowdy plans to major in business administration. From Barrow HS · Winder, GA.
