DJ Bailey is a redshirt sophomore quarterback for Sam Houston standing 5'11" and weighing 220 pounds. A native of DeSoto, Texas, Bailey won two consecutive Class 6A Division II state championships with DeSoto High School in 2022 and 2023. During his final two seasons in high school, he threw for 7,139 yards, 89 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions. Bailey redshirted during the 2024 season before appearing in the 2025 season finale against FIU on November 29, completing 2 of 3 passes for 42 yards. He currently wears number 15 for the Bearkats.
