Jay Brockhaus is a punter from Deltona, Florida, who transferred to Sacramento State after two seasons at Southeastern in Lakeland. At Southeastern, he earned first-team all-Sun Conference honors in 2023. In that year, he averaged 38.8 yards per punt across 50 attempts, including five punts of 50 or more yards and 15 placements inside the 20-yard line, with a career long of 73 yards against Faulkner. During 2024, his average improved to 40.7 yards per punt, featuring a 61-yard effort against St. Thomas (Fla.). A 2023 Pine Ridge HS graduate, Brockhaus majors in sport and recreation management.
