Zilan Williams is a defensive back from Martinsburg, WV who attended DeMatha Catholic, where he played under coach Bill McGregor. A three-star recruit in the class of 2022, Williams made his collegiate debut in 2023 against Wagner. He appeared in five games that season, including the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl win over Miami. In 2024, he played in all 13 games and recorded two tackles, including contributions against Howard. As a senior in 2025, Williams appeared in all 12 games and totaled four tackles across multiple contests. He earned selection to the Academic All-Big Ten list and was honored as a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar.
