RJ Wortman is a 6'3", 215-pound defensive back from Avenel, NJ, who attended Colonia High School under coach Tom Roarty. During his scholastic career, Wortman played both defensive back and wide receiver. In his senior season, he recorded 101 receptions for 1,307 yards and 15 touchdowns receiving, ranking fifth nationally in catches and leading the state in receiving yards. Defensively, he added 17 tackles and two interceptions, returning one for a touchdown, while also scoring on a punt return. Wortman helped Colonia reach the NJSIAA Group IV semifinals. He is a true freshman at Rutgers.
