Sean Ashenfelder is a quarterback for Rutgers from St. Johns, Florida, where he attended Creekside High School. A three-star recruit ranked 1427 nationally in the 2025 class, Ashenfelder threw for 2,905 yards and 25 touchdowns during his high school career and led Creekside to a 7A FHSAA playoff appearance as a senior in 2024. He also played baseball at Creekside under head coach Sean McIntyre. As a redshirt freshman in 2025, Ashenfelder appeared in one game, completing 1 of 1 pass for 11 yards against Norfolk State on September 13.
