Monte Keener is a 6'6", 245-pound defensive lineman from Linden, Michigan, where he played tight end and linebacker under coach Chad Williams. As a senior, he earned first team all-division honors on both sides of the ball. During his junior year, he was named first team all-region and all-conference as the Eagles reached the MHSAA-D3 District final with seven wins. Keener signed with Rutgers as a three-star recruit in the 2024 class. He did not see game action during his freshman and sophomore seasons but was named to the 2025 Academic All-Big Ten list. He is a junior in 2026 and majors in Supply Chain Management.
