DJ Allen, a 6'7" defensive end from Leo, Indiana, joined Rutgers as a three-star recruit rated No. 19 overall by Rivals and No. 15 in Indiana by recruiting services. He made his collegiate debut in 2022 and appeared in 11 games as a sophomore in 2023, earning Academic All-Big Ten honors. In 2024, Allen played in 10 games, recording five tackles with one assisted tackle-for-loss, and was named a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar. During his senior season in 2025, he played in four games and totaled five tackles while earning Academic All-Big Ten selection for the third time. Allen also received the Frank R. Burns Award for displaying extraordinary mental and physical toughness during spring practice.
