Michael Thomas III, a 5'11", 205-pound wide receiver from Barnegat, New Jersey, attended Donovan Catholic under coach Dan Curcione. A four-star recruit and No. 2 overall prospect in New Jersey by national outlets, Thomas finished his high school career with 1,310 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns, plus 1,028 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns. He earned First Team All-Shore honors from the Asbury Park Press and first team all-conference recognition. In his 2025 collegiate debut against Norfolk State on September 13, Thomas caught a 25-yard touchdown reception. He appeared in two games for Rutgers, including action versus No. 8 Oregon on October 18, and recorded one reception for 25 yards with one touchdown.
