Evan Ward is a long snapper for Rutgers who hails from Rutherford, New Jersey. Standing 6'4" and weighing 235 pounds, Ward began his college career at Pace University before joining the Scarlet Knights. During his high school years, he played quarterback and safety, accumulating 1,763 passing yards and 17 touchdowns along with 1,257 rushing yards and 23 rushing scores. As a senior in the pandemic-shortened 2020 season, Ward threw for 643 yards and five touchdowns while rushing for 10 scores. He earned two first-team all-division selections from The Star-Ledger. At Rutgers, Ward has been named to the Academic All-Big Ten list three consecutive years (2023, 2024, 2025). He is a senior in 2026.
