Michael Sifford is a slot receiver for the Rice Owls who transferred from Army Prep. The 5'11", 164-pound true freshman from Newton, North Carolina played at Newton-Conover High School, where he was a two-year starter and earned all-conference recognition as a senior. During his prep career, Sifford recorded 78 receptions for 1,283 yards and 12 touchdowns, while rushing for 218 yards.
