Davis Lane is a 6'1", 201-pound wide receiver from Lynchburg, Virginia who transferred to Rice after four seasons at Virginia. Originally a three-star quarterback recruit in the Class of 2022, Lane played quarterback at Liberty Christian Academy, where he passed for over 1,500 yards and 18 touchdowns as a senior while leading the Bulldogs to a 13-1 record and the state championship game. At Virginia, Lane appeared in 24 games across three seasons, primarily contributing on special teams with nine career tackles.
