Luke Needham is a left tackle for Rice standing 6'5" and weighing 320 pounds. A native of Germantown, Tennessee, Needham attended Houston High School, where he was a four-year starter and three-time All-Region and All-Metro selection. He redshirted in 2023 after joining Rice as a three-star recruit. In 2024, Needham saw action in four games, primarily on special teams, making his collegiate debut against Texas Southern with six snaps at center. During 2025, he appeared in three games while recovering from injury. Against Houston, he logged a career-high 57 snaps and earned a 79.2 run-blocking grade, the highest among Rice offensive linemen that game. Needham made his first start versus Prairie View before returning for the Armed Forces Bowl.
