Luca Akirtava is a defensive lineman for Rice, standing 6'2" and weighing 267 pounds. The Frisco, Texas native from Reedy High School redshirted during his first season on campus in 2025 while appearing in four regular-season contests. He made his collegiate debut against Prairie View, recording four tackles with two for a loss of 10 yards across 17 snaps. Akirtava also saw action versus Navy, Florida Atlantic, and UTSA.
