AJ Brown is a 6'0", 188-pound viper from Marietta, GA, who attended Walton High School before playing at UAB. As a senior, he earned first-team Region 3AAAAAAA honors with 89 tackles and three interceptions, leading Walton to the state semifinals. At UAB, Brown appeared in 36 games with six starts across 697 defensive snaps and 525 special teams plays, recording 91 tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack, and one interception. In 2025, his final season with the Blazers, he appeared in all 12 games with six starts, totaling 53 tackles, two fumble recoveries, and one forced fumble. Brown now transfers to Rice as a redshirt senior.
