Smiley Bradford is a 6'0", 195-pound safety from East St. Louis High School in St. Louis, Missouri, where he earned first-team all-state honors as a senior with 93 tackles. He played in five games as a freshman in 2024, recording 17 tackles and six tackles against No. 2 Oregon. In 2025, Bradford appeared in all 12 games with one start, accumulating 30 tackles, 5.0 tackles-for-loss, seven passes defended, and one interception. He intercepted his first collegiate pass at Northwestern on October 18 and earned Academic All-Big Ten recognition.
