Kobe Cherry is a true freshman defensive lineman at Purdue who hails from Greenwood, Indiana, where he attended Center Grove High School. A three-star recruit ranked No. 3 at his position in Indiana, Cherry compiled 176 tackles, 23.5 tackles-for-loss and 8.5 sacks during his high school career. As a senior, he recorded 102 tackles, 17 tackles-for-loss and five sacks after missing his junior year with injury. Cherry was a Class 6A State Champion in 2022 and a Prime Time 25 selection. He comes from an athletic family with connections to Indiana football, including his brother Tyler who played quarterback there.
