Jake Sassic is a wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Panthers standing 5'10" and weighing 180 pounds. The Pittsburgh native attended Pittsburgh Central Catholic, where he earned All-Tri-County Five honors at his position. As a senior, he recorded 28 receptions for 612 yards and seven touchdowns while averaging 21.9 yards per catch, helping the Vikings reach the WPIAL Class 6A Championship Game with a 10-2 record. Sassic joined Pitt as a training camp walk-on in 2024 and redshirted that season. He did not see game action in 2025 and returns as a redshirt sophomore.
