Davin Friedman is a true freshman quarterback for the Pittsburgh Panthers who walked on to the program in June 2026 after graduating from Cathedral Prep in Erie, Pennsylvania. During his final high school season in 2025, he passed for 1,392 yards and 10 touchdowns while adding 291 rushing yards and two scores. Over his career at Cathedral Prep, Friedman accumulated 2,719 passing yards and 28 touchdowns through the air, along with 338 rushing yards. He also punted for the school, recording 918 yards on 32 attempts with a long of 51 yards. A multi-sport athlete, Friedman played baseball as well, posting a 2.74 ERA in 2025.
