Ibn McDaniels is a 6'3", 202-pound cornerback from Elizabeth, New Jersey, who transferred to Penn State from Syracuse. At Elizabeth High School, McDaniels served as team captain and earned NJFCA North 2 Super All-State honors. As a senior, he recorded 35 tackles, three interceptions including one returned for a touchdown, 44 receptions for 744 yards, and eight touchdowns. McDaniels redshirted during his 2024 season at Syracuse, appearing in four games and tallying two tackles, one tackle for loss, and a pass breakup. In 2025, he played in 11 games for the Orange, recording two tackles across appearances against UConn and Miami.
