Akili Smith Jr. is a 6'5", 231-pound quarterback from Lincoln High School in San Diego, California. A consensus four-star recruit in the 2025 class, Smith ranked as the No. 15 overall quarterback nationally by recruiting services and No. 18 by the composite recruiting rankings. He threw for over 6,900 yards as a high school starter, including 2,039 yards with 18 touchdowns during his senior season and 2,431 yards with 25 touchdowns as a junior. Smith was invited to the Elite 11 Finals and earned a Polynesian Bowl roster spot. He redshirted during his true freshman year in 2025 and is a returning reserve for Oregon.
