Mason Gage Sawyers is a 6'0", 190-pound linebacker from Moneta, Virginia, who attended Graham High School. As a senior, he recorded 100 tackles and 20 tackles for loss, helping lead Graham to a 15-0 record and state championship. Sawyers redshirted in 2023. He appeared in all 12 games in 2024, primarily contributing on special teams, and recorded one tackle and a pass breakup against Georgia Southern. In 2025, Sawyers played in 12 games, again mostly on special teams, and posted three solo tackles and two assisted tackles, including two tackles in the victory at Georgia Southern.
