Preston Tarpley is a placekicker for the Oklahoma Sooners who enrolled in July 2025 and is pursuing a finance degree. At Gunter High School, he earned three Texas Sports Writers Association All-State selections as a kicker (2022-24) and one as a punter (2024). During his high school career, he made 276 of 281 PAT attempts and 24 of 31 field goals for 348 total points. As a senior in 2024, he converted 81 of 83 PATs and 10 of 11 field goals while also playing quarterback, accounting for 28 total touchdowns and 2,445 passing yards. He redshirted during the 2025 season and did not play.
