Preston Tarpley is a placekicker for the Oklahoma Sooners who enrolled in July 2025 and is pursuing a finance degree. At Gunter High School, he earned three Texas Sports Writers Association All-State selections as a kicker (2022-24) and one as a punter (2024). During his high school career, he made 276 of 281 PAT attempts and 24 of 31 field goals for 348 total points. As a senior in 2024, he converted 81 of 83 PATs and 10 of 11 field goals while also playing quarterback, accounting for 28 total touchdowns and 2,445 passing yards.
