Zach Hayes is a linebacker for the Ohio State Buckeyes standing 6'2" and weighing 222 pounds. The redshirt sophomore from LaGrange Park, Illinois majors in Marketing. Hayes played for Ohio State's club football team in 2023, where he served as a two-way starter at wide receiver and defensive back. He led the NCFA in receptions with 43 and ranked third in receiving yards with 550, earning first-team All-American honors. Defensively, he recorded 20 tackles, one sack, one fumble recovery, and one interception. As a redshirt freshman in 2025, Hayes appeared in one game, logging one snap on special teams against Grambling. He has been named Academic All-Big Ten and OSU Scholar-Athlete in both 2024 and 2025.
