James Flanigan is a 6'6", 251-pound tight end for Notre Dame who arrived as a four-star recruit and the top-ranked prospect in Wisconsin. As a freshman in 2025, he appeared in four games, making his collegiate debut at Arkansas on September 27. He saw action in wins at Boston College on November 1, at Pittsburgh on November 15, and at Stanford on November 29, where he contributed to blocking efforts as the Irish rushing attack totaled over 200 yards. Flanigan was a two-time All-State selection in high school, where he caught 25 passes for 609 yards and 11 touchdowns as a senior and won the Al Toon Award.
