Montae Pate is a 6'2" right cornerback from Las Vegas who signed with Weber State in December 2021. He redshirted his first year in 2022, appearing in three games. Over his next two seasons, Pate developed into a defensive contributor for the Wildcats, recording 34 total tackles in 2024 and returning an interception 30 yards for a touchdown against Lamar (9/14). In 2025, he earned All-Big Sky Defensive First Team honors after appearing in all 12 games, posting career highs of 53 total tackles, 40 solo tackles, and 10 pass breakups. Pate now joins Northwestern as a transfer.
