Mar'Kel Porter is a running back from Lancaster, Texas, where he played for Lancaster High School under head coach Leon Paul III. He was recruited as a three-star prospect in the 2024 class. Porter played in two games during his 2024 first year at Bowling Green while retaining his redshirt, tallying four carries for 11 yards. In 2025 as a redshirt first-year, he appeared in nine games with two starts, recording 93 yards on 31 rushes and two touchdowns while adding seven receptions for 70 yards.
