J.J. Lewis is a 6'0", 200-pound defensive back from Inglewood, California, who attended Leuzinger High School. A consensus three-star recruit in the 2023 class, Lewis committed to Northwestern in March 2022. During his junior year at Leuzinger, he accumulated 877 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns on offense while recording 20 tackles, eight pass breakups, and three interceptions on defense. Lewis redshirted in 2023 and did not appear in games during his 2024 redshirt first-year or 2025 redshirt sophomore season. He is currently a returning roster member for the Wildcats.
