Brenden Deasfernandes is a 6'2", 195-pound left cornerback from Detroit, Michigan who played high school football at Belleville before beginning his college career at Iowa in 2020. After redshirting and appearing in limited action during his first three seasons with the Hawkeyes, he transferred to Central Michigan. In 2024, he saw action in all 12 games with two starts at safety and recorded 14 tackles and a pass breakup while earning Academic All-MAC honors. As a redshirt senior in 2025, Deasfernandes appeared in all 13 games with nine starts at cornerback after moving from safety. He accumulated 25 tackles (13 solo), two interceptions, and eight pass breakups to lead the team in the latter category.
