Romelo Ware is a running back for Northern Illinois who hails from Orlando, Florida, where he played at Olympia High School. At Olympia, he was a two-time team captain and earned All-State honors in 2023 after recording 1,505 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns. Ware made his collegiate debut in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl against Fresno State on December 23, 2024, catching a nine-yard pass. During the 2025 season, he appeared in one game against UMass, carrying the ball twice and recording one kickoff return for six yards. The redshirt sophomore, standing 5'9" and weighing 190 pounds, is back with the Huskies for the 2026 season.
