Elijah Porter is a redshirt sophomore running back for Northern Illinois, standing 5'11" and weighing 202 pounds. From Ankeny, Iowa, Porter attended Centennial High School, where he was a two-time team captain and earned First Team All-State honors as a senior. He redshirted in 2024 before appearing in all 12 games during the 2025 season as a rotational back and special teams contributor. Porter rushed for 80 yards on 12 carries, all in the final four games. Against UMass on November 12, he scored on a 67-yard touchdown reception, the longest passing play of the season for the Huskies. He also recorded four kickoff returns for 89 yards and earned Academic All-MAC selection.
