Jalen Macon is a 6'5", 230-pound quarterback from Nashville, Tennessee, who attended Hillsboro High School before playing at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff from 2021 to 2023. He transferred to Northern Illinois in January 2024 and saw limited action that season, completing 4-of-7 passes for 50 yards and scoring on a nine-yard rushing touchdown against Western Illinois. In 2025, Macon appeared in five games, starting the final three. He completed 9-of-21 passes for 105 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions while rushing 45 times for 216 yards and five touchdowns. In his first start at NIU against UMass, he rushed for 98 yards on 12 carries with three rushing touchdowns and threw a touchdown pass.
