Zach Johnson is a left cornerback from Tampa, Florida, who transferred to North Texas after three seasons in the FCS. Johnson attended Sickles High School, where he recorded 30 tackles and 6.0 TFLs as a senior while playing cornerback and wide receiver. He began his college career at West Florida in 2023, appearing in eight games with 14 tackles and one pass breakup. In 2024, Johnson started 10 games and logged 21 tackles, six pass breakups, one interception, and one forced fumble. He then spent the 2025 season at Southeastern Louisiana, starting all 13 games and finishing with 33 tackles, 11 pass breakups, and one forced fumble. Across his three-year career prior to joining UNT, Johnson has 68 tackles, 19 pass breakups, and one interception in 31 games with 23 starts.
