Tyson Wilson is a free safety from Gilmer, Texas who spent three seasons at Tyler Junior College before joining North Texas as a transfer. At Tyler JC, Wilson appeared in 23 games at the defensive back position across 2023–25. In 2025, his third season, he played in 12 games and earned Second Team All-Southwest Junior College Football Conference honors while recording 28 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss and four pass breakups.
