The redshirt freshman from Denton, Texas, attended Guyer High School, where he earned 5-6A First Team All-District honors as a senior and Second Team All-Area recognition. His prep team reached the state quarterfinals in 2024 and the state semifinals in 2022. Hamilton redshirted during the 2025 season and remains on the roster for the Mean Green.
